The Model Classroom at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio (Cleveland)
Perhaps the way to spread Dr. Littky's book is to quote other people.
Perhaps the way to get more people to read about TheThirdTeacherPlus.com is to write to principals who have engaged in innovative practices that are described in Littky's book, such as offering a flexible classroom

I saw a flexible "model classroom" in Stonefields School in Auckland, New Zealand. Here is the link to the blogpost. I highly recommend that you follow the work of Chris Bradbeer, the vice principal in 2012.

John Hattie ("Make Learning Visible") was a strong influence on the design of the Stonefields school's flexible layout and walls that display "work in progress."
Anne Knock at a private school north of Sydney gave me a tour of the school, and introduced me to the term "The Third Teacher" (Parents = #1, Teachers = #2, The walls and the environment = #3)
These thoughts come to mind when I read the following paragraph from a letter to alumni written by the current head of school, Fran Bisselle.
A committee of educators, school administrators and board members spent several months researching academic environment best practices for academic environments and they looked to forward-thinking secondary schools, colleges, universities and business firms for inspiration for the model classroom.
The model classroom is a bright and inviting space that encourages collaboration All of the furnishings are easily moveable lending themselves to an endless array of configurations. vastly expanding the number and type of lessons, pedagogies and activities that can be enacted. There is no clearly delineated front of the room, and whiteboard paint has been applied to the majority of the wall space for write-on, wipe-off capabilities. The room feature several flat screen touch monitors that connect to the Internet and allow for real-time screen sharing so that student and faculty devices may be displayed simultaneously.
Well, after reading that description, I want to update my article on Chronically Curious. I want to visit any teaching space that has extra whiteboards for students to write on.

The model classroom? Wow. Go to Auckland and Sydney and you'll see the modern classroom that's 5 years old. I visited in 2013 and those schools perhaps have elaborated on those innovations.

Daniel Amen has a series of books about "Talk back to automatic negative thoughts." As a teacher, I ask my students to deal with their negative thoughts. Research shows that we tend to learn less and retain less when we are under stress. It makes sense for teachers to ask students to reduce their stress by thinking positively and stop dwelling on the negative.
